About the Role
Our client, a reputable facilities management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Site Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at a large, high-profile facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This hands-on supervisory role is responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety are maintained. Key Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and manage a team of cleaning staff, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance monitoring.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards and to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to cleaning, health, safety, and hygiene.
Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
Respond promptly to any cleaning-related issues or emergencies, such as spills or accidents.
Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide ongoing training and coaching to cleaning staff on effective cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment operation.
Act as the primary point of contact for site management regarding cleaning services, addressing concerns and providing updates.




Ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of all cleaning chemicals and waste materials in accordance with regulations.
Foster a positive and productive working environment for the cleaning team.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff.
Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for various surfaces and environments.
Understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning, including standing, bending, and lifting.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Familiarity with the operational environment in Eastern Cape would be an advantage.
