About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the financial technology sector, is seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Architect to join their innovative team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration, enabling you to shape and implement cutting-edge DevOps strategies. You will be responsible for designing and architecting robust CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code solutions that enhance development agility, system reliability, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Design, architect, and implement comprehensive CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies for software delivery.
Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Architect cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on automation, scalability, and security.
Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, including version control, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and monitoring.
Lead the selection and integration of appropriate DevOps tools and technologies.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to foster a culture of shared responsibility and continuous improvement.
Implement robust monitoring, logging,



and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps engineers and cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to build, deployment, and operational environments.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps processes and system reliability.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations, software development, or system administration, with at least 4 years focused on DevOps architecture and implementation.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and system monitoring tools.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience working effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing remote and in-office collaboration.
