About the Role

Our client, a national retail chain with a growing footprint, is looking for an experienced and strategic Regional Operations Manager to oversee operations across its Eastern Cape cluster. This role is vital for ensuring consistent operational standards, driving performance, and managing a portfolio of stores to achieve company objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership, strategic planning, and execution of operational initiatives within the region. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all retail stores within the assigned Eastern Cape cluster.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage regional budgets, control expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop store managers and their teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, merchandising standards, and operational guidelines.
- Analyze sales data, operational metrics, and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with corporate departments (e.g., Marketing,



Merchandising, HR) to align regional strategies with company-wide goals.
- Drive initiatives related to inventory management, loss prevention, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular store visits and performance reviews to ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in retail operations management, with at least 3 years in a multi-site management role.
- Proven track record of driving operational performance and achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in retail management systems and relevant software.
- Knowledge of the retail market within the Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA region is beneficial.
- Ability to travel extensively within the region.
