Key Responsibilities

- Design electrical systems for solar PV, wind farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Specify and select electrical equipment, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling.
- Develop single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical studies, including power flow, short circuit analysis, and grid interconnection studies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local grid codes), and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil/structural engineers, and external stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process by reviewing vendor proposals and equipment submittals.
- Provide technical assistance during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and processes within the company.

Requirements





- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or BESS).
- Strong understanding of power system analysis and electrical design principles.
- Experience with grid connection studies and compliance with utility requirements.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
- Familiarity with energy storage technologies and their integration.
- Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical risks.
