- Design and deliver working software. Architect, implement, test, and maintain services and platform components, including backend systems and architecture-related frontend concerns such as micro-frontend patterns.
- Design and implement AI-based architectural conformance checks and fitness functions that continuously evaluate whether systems follow agreed principles, patterns, and quality constraints.
- Define measurable quality goals. Establish and continuously evaluate requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, security, availability, recoverability, maintainability,



portability, usability, and extensibility.
- Develop scaffolding, templates, reference architectures, or platform capabilities that teams can adopt without depending on the Staff Software Engineer long term.
- Perform architecture and design reviews, coach engineers through difficult decisions, and enable teams to make high-quality choices independently.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering using Java or a comparable object-oriented language.
- At least 3 years developing microservices and experience building distributed or event-driven systems in the cloud.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and event driven Kafka-based applications
- Experience with mainstream relational databases, caching, replication, and search technologies.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services with container orchestration technologies.
