JOB SUMMARY Under direction of the immediate supervisor, the Lab Technician II participates in the execution of laboratory experiments following quality, safety, and environmental rules. He/She performs a variety of tasks, prepares materials, reagents, and equipment, runs laboratory tests and procedures for which he/she has been adequately trained, compiles data and may collaborate in the selection of appropriate experimental and analytical methods. He/She performs routine equipment and laboratory maintenance. Performs laboratory tests and experiments and periodically communicates results, problems, and progress to his/her supervisor. Compiles experimental data and performs calculations to present and discuss them to his/her supervisor. Supports the training of newcomers and ensures that they obtain adequate knowledge regarding procedures and laboratory protocols.



Maintains electronic or paper laboratory notebook making sure that all data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines and procedures. Sets up and operates a variety of general and specialized laboratory equipment. Follows strict laboratory quality, safety, and environmental procedures according to regulations in place. Networking/Key relationships To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as: ~ Mainly with R&D;, Quality and Operations colleagues Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio in Science or Health-related field, completed with experience in chemical, biological, or health-related laboratory Depending on the type of laboratory to which the technician is going to be placed, specific experience may be required in topics like: cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, lab automation, clinical analyzers… Software: Fluency in Office Tools (Excel & Word), Valuable Basic knowledge in SAP Language: Fluency in Spanish or Catalan.
