About the Role

Our client, a renowned adventure tourism operator in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide and Experience Facilitator. This role involves leading guided tours, educating visitors about the local history, culture, and natural environment, and ensuring an engaging and safe experience for all participants. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Queenstown area. You will be the face of our client's operations, responsible for creating memorable experiences for tourists from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead guided tours for individuals and groups, providing informative and engaging commentary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants.
- Share knowledge of local history, culture, flora, and fauna.
- Manage tour logistics, including timings, transportation, and equipment.
- Respond to visitor questions and provide assistance with local recommendations.
- Maintain a positive and approachable demeanor at all times.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for all activities.
- Gather feedback from visitors to help improve tour offerings.




- Assist with the maintenance of tour equipment and vehicles.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a tour guide or in a customer-facing role within the tourism industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Queenstown area, its history, culture, and natural attractions.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is required.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage groups effectively.
- A genuine passion for tourism and sharing local knowledge.
- Must be physically fit and able to conduct tours in various conditions.
- Based in or have reliable transportation to Queenstown, Eastern Cape.
