About the Role Our client, a leader in AI & Emerging Technologies, is seeking a skilled Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer to join their innovative team. You will focus on developing and implementing advanced NLP models and solutions that enable machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language. Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and deploy NLP models for various applications such as text classification, entity recognition, and question answering.
- Develop and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for specific tasks.
- Process and analyze large volumes of textual data.
- Implement natural language understanding (NLU) and natural language generation (NLG) systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate NLP capabilities into products.
- Evaluate and improve the performance of NLP models and pipelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in NLP and deep learning for text.
- Write clean,



efficient, and well-documented code.
- Contribute to the development of NLP tools and libraries.
- Troubleshoot and debug NLP systems.

Requirements

- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, AI, or a related field with a specialization in NLP.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and extensive experience with NLP libraries (e.g., NLTK, spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Strong experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of NLP concepts, including tokenization, embeddings, sequence models (RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).
- Experience with LLMs and their application.
- Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques for text data.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills suitable for a remote work environment.
- Must be eligible to work remotely from South Africa.
