Key Responsibilities

- Conduct outreach to community members to raise awareness about available health services and programs.
- Educate individuals and groups on preventative health measures, healthy lifestyles, and disease management.
- Assist clients in navigating the healthcare system, scheduling appointments, and accessing medical services.
- Advocate for patients' needs and rights within healthcare settings.
- Identify health disparities and barriers to care within the community.
- Collect data on health needs and service utilization, reporting findings to the program manager.
- Organize and facilitate health education workshops and information sessions in Queenstown .
- Collaborate with local clinics,

Requirements

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous experience in community health, health education, or social services.
- Strong understanding of primary healthcare principles and common health issues.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and build trust within the community.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Eastern Cape , specifically the Queenstown area.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Knowledge of local health resources and challenges in Queenstown is an asset.
