About the Role

Our client, a dynamic consulting firm specializing in occupational health and safety, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Health & Safety Compliance Auditor. This fully remote position will involve conducting virtual audits, assessments, and consultations to ensure client compliance with stringent health and safety regulations across various industries. Based remotely but with a strong connection to Queenstown, Eastern Cape, you will leverage your expertise to guide clients in implementing and maintaining best-practice safety standards. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct remote audits and assessments of client health and safety management systems against relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Analyze findings, identify compliance gaps, and develop comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on health and safety compliance matters via virtual channels.
- Develop and update audit protocols and assessment tools to reflect evolving regulatory requirements.
- Deliver virtual training sessions and workshops on health and safety topics to client personnel.
- Stay current with all national and regional health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and industry trends.




- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all audit activities and client interactions.
- Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and continuous professional development.
- Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety auditing, compliance, or a similar advisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of South African health and safety legislation (e.g., OHS Act, environmental regulations).
- Proven ability to conduct thorough and objective audits, analyze data and write detailed reports.
- Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, cloud-based document sharing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
