About the Role

Our client, a dedicated provider of medical supply logistics, is seeking a reliable and conscientious Specialized Courier Driver to join their team serving Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role is vital in ensuring the timely and secure delivery of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and laboratory samples to hospitals, clinics, and private practices throughout the region. Key Responsibilities

- Safely and efficiently deliver medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and laboratory samples according to scheduled routes and ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain the integrity and quality of sensitive medical products during transport, adhering to specific temperature and handling requirements.
- Operate company-provided vehicles with professionalism and a commitment to safe driving practices.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, recipient signatures, and mileage logs.
- Ensure the security of all medical supplies during transit and at delivery points.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients (healthcare professionals), and internal stakeholders.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety regulations, and healthcare industry compliance standards.




- Respond professionally and calmly to any unforeseen challenges or emergencies during deliveries.
- Protect patient confidentiality and sensitive information associated with medical deliveries.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in courier services, medical logistics, or a related field.
- Valid Code 10 driver's license with a clean driving record and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive materials with care and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Familiarity with basic temperature-controlled transport procedures is advantageous.
- Excellent navigation skills and knowledge of the Queenstown, Eastern Cape area and surrounding routes.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and provide references.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology or healthcare logistics is a plus.
