About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding blockchain security firm, is seeking a diligent and highly analytical Blockchain Security Auditor to join their dedicated team. This critical role, based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA , focuses on ensuring the integrity and safety of blockchain projects, smart contracts, and decentralized applications. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance the security posture of our clients' assets. Key Responsibilities

- Perform in-depth security audits and code reviews of smart contracts written in various languages (e.g., Solidity, Vyper).
- Identify potential vulnerabilities, including reentrancy attacks, integer overflows, unchecked external calls, and other common exploits.
- Analyze blockchain protocols and dApps for security flaws and potential risks.
- Develop and execute test cases to validate the security of smart contracts and blockchain implementations.
- Document findings clearly and concisely, providing detailed explanations and actionable remediation steps.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, attack vectors, and best practices in the blockchain space.
- Collaborate with client development teams to explain audit findings and guide them through the remediation process.




- Contribute to the development of internal auditing tools and methodologies.
- Assess the overall security architecture of blockchain-based systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, or a related technical role with a focus on security.
- Demonstrated understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and smart contract fundamentals.
- Proficiency in smart contract programming languages such as Solidity.
- Experience with security analysis tools, penetration testing techniques, and vulnerability assessment.
- Familiarity with common smart contract vulnerabilities and their exploits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with formal verification tools or static analysis tools is a plus.
