Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the childcare center, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
- Lead, manage, and support a team of childcare educators and support staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the curriculum and educational programs to ensure high‑quality learning experiences.
- Manage the center's budget, financial records,



and administrative functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and families, fostering open communication and engagement.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for all children, implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Liaise with external agencies, authorities, and community stakeholders.
- Develop and implement marketing and enrollment strategies to ensure center occupancy.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or parent concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development, Education, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a childcare or early learning setting.
- Thorough knowledge of the South African Children's Act and relevant childcare regulations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
- Proficiency in relevant administrative software and tools.
- First Aid and CPR certification required.
