About the Role

Our client, a prominent construction group known for delivering high-quality projects, is seeking an accomplished Construction Site Manager to oversee operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This senior role demands exceptional leadership, robust project management capabilities, and a thorough understanding of all facets of construction management. The Site Manager will be responsible for the overall execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will manage site teams, coordinate subcontractors, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Develop and implement detailed site execution plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage and lead project teams, including direct reports, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage site logistics, equipment, and material procurement.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Prepare comprehensive progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.




- Resolve site-related issues and conflicts effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and legal requirements.

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a Site Manager role.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex building or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations (OHSA) and quality management systems.
- Professional registration with a relevant body (e.g., SACPCMP) is highly advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Eastern Cape region.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to the Queenstown, Eastern Cape area.
