About the Role

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of industrial components, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role is crucial for ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely, while maintaining high standards of quality. You will lead a team of production staff, manage workflow, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers.
- Ensure all production operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor production output and quality, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Train and mentor new and existing production staff.
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage work schedules and allocate resources effectively.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certification or associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in supervising a production team.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work versátil hours, including occasional overtime.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
