Originally opened in 1957 and re-emerging in 2023 as an iconic 5-star beachfront destination, this resort features 266 luxury rooms directly along Marbella's promenade, just a five-minute walk from Plaza de los Naranjos. To support our dining brigade and keep food service running smoothly across all outlets, we are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Assistant Waiter / Food Runner (Ayudante de Camarero/a) to join our team in Marbella, Spain. In this dynamic dining room role, you will partner closely with head waiters and section servers to ensure prompt, elegant table service. Specifically, you will transport dishes swiftly from the hot pass, serve bar snacks, prepare service stations, assist with guest orders, and stage tables according to 5-star luxury standards. Your primary goal involves driving table turnover speed and guest satisfaction across the resort’s restaurants and bars. To achieve this, you will transport orders promptly and maintain immaculate dining station staging. At the same time, you will support senior servers during high-volume seatings in accordance with luxury standards (such as Leading Hotels of the World and Preferred Hotels & Resorts). Therefore, you will collect orders from the hot pass, serve accompanying aperitifs, set up buffet displays, and manage table turnover. As a result, you will eliminate service bottlenecks and protect our resort’s reputation for 5-star hospitality.

Key Responsibilities




* Food Running & Pass Coordination: Collect prepared dishes promptly from the kitchen’s hot pass (pase caliente) and transport them quickly to the dining room, assisting waiters during table delivery.
* Guest Welcome & Order Support: Greet, seat, and attend to guests politely following hotel standards. Provide menu recommendations, take drink or food orders, and assist with guest check billing and payment collection when needed.
* Bar Service & Appetizers: Dispense and serve appropriate appetizers and snacks paired with beverages prepared in the bar area.
* Dining Station & Table Setup: Prepare and set tables according to Fuerte Group staging manuals, ensuring silverware, glassware, and linens meet pristine 5-star standards. Prepare and power on mobile ordering terminals before service and power them down afterward.
* Buffet & Event Operations: Assist in the setup, ongoing maintenance, and clearance of buffet stations. Furthermore, coordinate with supervisors to assemble and service private banquets and special resort events.
* Inventory & Station Stocking: Monitor service supplies, store received beverage and food items in designated pantry zones, and replenish side stations before and during service shifts. Who You Are: The Attentive Food & Beverage Specialist
* Proven Foundations:



You bring at least 2 years of dining service experience within 5-star luxury hotels or upscale restaurants. Experience in properties affiliated with Leading Hotels of the World or Preferred Hotels & Resorts is an advantage.
* Educational Background: You hold a Vocational Training Degree (Grado Medio o Superior) in Restaurant Service (Servicios de Restauración), Restaurant Management, or equivalent hospitality training.
* The Linguist: You display A2-level proficiency in English alongside fluent Spanish to assist international guests comfortably. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

You feel comfortable working with hotel/restaurant POS management software and basic Microsoft Office tools.
