About the Role
Our client, a significant player in the media and public relations industry, is seeking a diligent and motivated Public Relations Officer to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role operates on a hybrid basis, offering a balanced approach to remote work and in-office collaboration. The PR Officer will support the implementation of PR strategies, manage media interactions, and assist in crafting compelling communication materials. This position is idóneo for an individual with a strong foundation in communication principles and a desire to grow within the PR field. Key Responsibilities
* Assist in developing and executing public relations campaigns.
* Draft and proofread press releases, media advisories, and other PR collateral.
* Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on press clippings and sentiment.
* Support the coordination of media events and press conferences.
* Maintain and update media contact databases.
* Respond to routine media inquiries and channel them appropriately.
* Contribute to social media content creation and management.
* Conduct research on relevant industry news and trends.




* Provide administrative support to the PR department. Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related internship.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with PR tools and media monitoring services.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
* Team player with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
* Good interpersonal skills for building relationships.
