About the Role
Our client, a reputable facilities management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Site Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at a large, high-profile facility in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This hands-on supervisory role is responsible for leading a team of cleaning staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety are maintained. Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, train, and manage a team of cleaning staff, ensuring efficient task allocation and performance monitoring.
* Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standards and to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
* Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to cleaning, health, safety, and hygiene.
* Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
* Respond promptly to any cleaning-related issues or emergencies, such as spills or accidents.
* Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
* Provide ongoing training and coaching to cleaning staff on effective cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment operation.
* Act as the primary point of contact for site management regarding cleaning services, addressing concerns and providing updates.




* Ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of all cleaning chemicals and waste materials in accordance with regulations.
* Foster a positive and productive working environment for the cleaning team. Requirements
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff.
* Good knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for various surfaces and environments.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning, including standing, bending, and lifting.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
