Main Responsibilities / Activities

Volpak is seeking to incorporate new skills and experience to the team, for this reason, we are looking for a Process Engineer whom:

- Designs and implements improvements on the existing machines features with the goal of enhancing performance, durability and reliability respecting the constraints of cost, time, quality levels, technical standards and defined KPIs.
- Designs specific tooling for the assembly process.




- Carries out meetings at the begining / end of the project assembly. Gathers information about the whole assembly process.
- Delivers technical information from Engineering department to members involved in the assembly process.
- Transfers production know-how into norms /rules, establishing standarized procedures.
- Assures the correct configuration of devices, machines and groups taking care of minimizing inventory obsolescence.

Special Projects / Challenges

Ensures the continuous performance improvement of the machinery assembly by applying LEAN Manufacturing standards.

Key Competences / Leadership Attributes

Serve as a change agent promoting the use of Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Basic Requirements

- Engineering degree (Mechanical/Industrial/ Electrical or similar).
- At least 5/6 years of experience in similar role.
- Need proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing company applying Lean Principles and methodologies (production BOM, lean cells design, standard work definition, 5S).
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software (Solidworks & Composer).
- Technical aptitude to collect and analyze data for determining an improvement strategy.
- Ability to manage accurately different processes.
- Teamwork attitude.
- Result and deadline oriented.
- Innovative approach.
- Good command of English and Spanish.
- Good understanding of customer needs.
- Knowledge of Office tools: MS Word, MS Excel.
- Knowledge in SAP.
