About the Role

Our client, a reputable auditing firm, is seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Auditor to join their team in **Queenstown, Eastern Cape**. This on-site position requires a thorough understanding of auditing principles, standards, and practices. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on financial and operational audits for a diverse range of clients within the banking and finance sector. Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits for clients.
- Evaluate internal control systems and assess their adequacy and effectiveness.
- Identify and document audit findings, recommending practical solutions to address control weaknesses.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing procedures performed, findings, and recommendations.
- Liaise with client management to discuss audit plans, findings, and proposed management actions.
- Supervise and mentor junior audit staff on engagement teams.
- Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with professional auditing standards and firm methodologies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, auditing pronouncements, and relevant regulations.




- Assist in the development and delivery of audit training programs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in external auditing, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Thorough knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and relevant accounting frameworks.
- Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to manage audit engagements, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Strong ethical standards and professional skepticism.
- Experience working with clients in **Queenstown, Eastern Cape** or surrounding areas is an advantage.
