About the Role Our client, an esteemed organization committed to supporting vulnerable populations, is seeking an experienced Coordinador/a de Programas de Apoyo a Migrantes y Refugiados for a fully remote position. This role is vital in managing and expanding programs that provide essential services, legal assistance, and integration support to migrant and refugee communities. You will be instrumental in developing strategic partnerships, overseeing program implementation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to individuals and families navigating complex journeys. The adecuado candidate possesses a deep understanding of migration issues, experience in program management, and a strong commitment to human rights. This is a unique opportunity to lead impactful initiatives from anywhere, coordinating efforts that directly assist vulnerable populations, potentially including those arriving or residing near León, Guanajuato, or other key transit and settlement areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to support migrants and refugees.
- Develop and manage budgets for various program activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of program staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community-based organizations, and international bodies.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with and serve migrant and refugee populations.
- Ensure the provision of essential services, including legal aid, psychosocial support, education, and livelihood opportunities.
- Monitor program activities, collect data, and prepare regular reports on progress, challenges, and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.




- Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and proposal development.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to migration and refugee assistance.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of migrants and refugees within relevant forums.

Requirements

- Master's degree in International Relations, Social Work, Law, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management within the humanitarian or development sector, with a specific focus on migration and refugee issues.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, budgets, and diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of the legal and psychosocial challenges faced by migrants and refugees.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in advocacy and policy work related to migration is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English is required. Knowledge of other languages relevant to migrant/refugee populations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, demonstrating strong self-discipline and time management skills.
