About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join their established practice in Queenstown. This role focuses on managing and resolving a variety of legal disputes on behalf of clients, utilizing negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation strategies. You will be responsible for representing clients' interests, managing case progression, and providing strategic advice throughout the dispute resolution process. Key Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of civil disputes, including commercial litigation, debt recovery, and contractual disagreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases for clients.
- Draft pleadings, applications, and other court documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.




- Negotiate settlements and advise clients on the best course of action to resolve disputes.
- Maintain detailed case files and client communications.

Requirements

- Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in dispute resolution or litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in managing civil litigation from inception to conclusion.
- In-depth knowledge of South African civil procedure rules and evidence law.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines effectively.
