About the Role
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will join the People team and play a key role in the management and execution of integral payroll processes. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and execute payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments .
- Ensure payroll compliance with applicable labor, tax and regulatory requirements .
- Support the management of international and multi-country payroll processes .
- Coordinate with external payroll providers, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Resolve employee queries related to payroll, compensation and benefits .
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance teams and department heads .
- Ensure payroll data accuracy and alignment between payroll and accounting cycles.
- Participate in internal and cross-functional payroll audits .
- Handle confidential and sensitive employee information with the highest level of integrity.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate payroll processes and workflows .
- Support and mentor other team members, sharing payroll expertise and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll operations in an international and growing environment. Requirements




- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, and benefits administration
- Must reside in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
- Advanced proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws and payroll tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with a proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Advanced level of English Nice to Have
- Professional certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
- Experience with global payroll processing and multi-country tax compliance
- Proficiency in advanced HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or ADP
- Advanced Excel skills including data modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas
- Previous experience in HRIS implementation, system migrations, or process automation projects

- €40,000 gross annual salary + 10% bonus

Monday to Thursday: choose between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM / Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
