Fuengirola, Malaga, Spain Job overview As a Backend Engineer, you will help design, build and evolve backend services that support our customer-facing digital experiences. You will work mainly with C#/.
NET and Azure in a microservices environment, collaborating closely with engineers, QA and Product. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle
- from understanding customer and business needs to implementation, testing, deployment and production support
- while continuing to grow your technical ownership and impact within the team. Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain clean, scalable backend services using C# and .
NET.
• Build solutions based on customer and business needs.
• Contribute to reliable architecture, performance, security and maintainability.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality and reduce regressions.
• Investigate and solve technical issues across services and components.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA and other engineering teams.
• Share knowledge and contribute to improving engineering practices within the team. Requirements
• Strong experience with C# and .
NET / .
NET Core.




• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining production backend systems.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Comfortable with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Ability to understand business and customer needs and contribute to technical solutions.
• Collaborative mindset and comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Curious, pragmatic and motivated to continuously learn and grow.
• Valid work permit in the EU. Nice to have
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and event-driven systems.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cosmos DB.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with observability, monitoring and production support.
• Experience building backend services consumed by iOS/Android applications.
• Authentication and authorization experience, such as OAuth/OIDC or Auth0/Okta.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar.
