The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced fire engineers, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, develop your technical skills and gain an understanding of fire safety principles, codes and standards.

As a Fire Safety Trainee at Arup, you will:

- Support the development of fire safety strategies, working with multidisciplinary teams within Arup and external project teams.

- Assist with performance-based fire engineering studies, including calculations and modelling related to fire and smoke behavior, evacuation and structural response to fire.

- Support fire safety reviews and inspections of new and existing buildings and infrastructure,



including reviewing drawings and contributing to technical reports.

- Assist with the preparation of drawings, presentations and other technical documentation, with opportunities to gain exposure to fire protection systems design.

- Currently pursuing or recently graduated a degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eagerness to learn and apply new concepts.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.
