A technology services business specialising in managed IT, infrastructure and digital transformation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support client environments and improve software delivery.
The role
Working closely with clients and technical teams, you’ll manage environments from development through to production, troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, and automate operational processes.
Key responsibilities include
- Administering Linux systems and virtual machines across private cloud platforms.
- Automating infrastructure and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
- Supporting CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Monitoring platform health, investigating incidents and implementing lasting improvements.
Requirements
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with OpenStack or VMware.
- Practical knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools.
- Bash or Python scripting skills.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
Experience with monitoring tools, GitOps, security hardening or business-critical environments would be advantageous.
