Magnitvde works alongside developers, contractors, and engineering teams, providing strategic technical expertise and innovative design solutions for major Design-Build (DB) and Public-Private Partnership (P3/DBFOM) transportation projects.

The Opportunity

We are currently partnering with Magnitvde to recruit a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join its technical advisory team.

Working closely with Magnitvde's Design Leads, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and evaluating innovative roadway solutions for major U.S. transportation infrastructure projects.

This position combines senior-level engineering judgment with hands-on design capabilities. You will have the opportunity to challenge conventional approaches, independently develop preliminary roadway concepts, and translate technical ideas into practical, constructible, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Roadway Concept Development & Optimization: Independently develop conceptual and preliminary roadway designs, including horizontal and vertical alignments, highway corridors, interchange configurations, ramps, and managed lanes.
- Hands-On Geometric Design: Use Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D to rapidly develop, modify, and compare roadway alternatives, preparing preliminary layouts, profiles, and technical exhibits.
- ATC Development & Value Engineering: Identify and develop Alternative Technical Concepts (ATCs) to optimize construction costs (CAPEX), improve constructability, and mitigate project risks during RFP and procurement phases.
- Technical Review & Compliance: Evaluate preliminary designs against AASHTO guidelines, state DOT standards,



and project requirements, considering multidisciplinary interfaces and technical constraints.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Magnitvde's Design Leads and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative solutions and support technical decision-making across multiple U.S. infrastructure projects.

Profile & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in highway and roadway engineering, with substantial hands-on involvement in geometric design, interchange layouts, and preliminary roadway design development.
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated recent hands-on proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer or Autodesk Civil 3D to independently develop alignments, profiles, and geometric alternatives.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of highway geometric design principles, constructability, and design optimization. Familiarity with AASHTO guidelines and U.S. roadway design standards is highly valued.
- Project Experience: Experience with major Design-Build (DB), Public-Private Partnership (P3), or similar transportation infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
- Language: Professional fluency in English , both written and spoken, is essential, as the role requires active collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
- Mindset: Proactive, creative, and technically driven, with the autonomy to develop engineering solutions independently and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior technical teams.

Location & Working Model Spain | Versátil / Hybrid Working Model The position offers flexibility to work remotely from Spain, combined with regular coordination and collaboration with Magnitvde's international team.
