THE ROLE We are looking for a motivated, reliable and proactive Shipping Agent to join our Port Operations team. This is a dynamic, hands-on position in an international maritime environment, where no two days are the same.

You will be responsible for coordinating vessel calls, bunkering operations, crew changes and a wide range of marine services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while maintaining close communication with vessels, clients, suppliers and port authorities. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems and working in a fast-paced environment where flexibility, teamwork and customer service are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate vessel calls and day-to-day port operations.
- Arrange and supervise bunkering operations, crew changes, deliveries, supplies and other marine services.
- Liaise with vessel Masters, shipowners, operators, suppliers and port authorities.
- Prepare and manage operational documentation and vessel communications.
- Attend vessels and coordinate onboard operations when required.
- Monitor vessel movements and operational schedules.
- Provide clients with timely updates and ensure a high standard of service.
- Respond effectively to operational requirements and unexpected situations.
- Participate in an out-of-hours duty rota, including nights, weekends and public holidays when scheduled.

REQUIREMENTS




- Fluent English is mandatory for this position, both written and spoken. Candidates must be able to communicate confidently and professionally in English.
- Candidates must live in Gibraltar or the surrounding area, within a reasonable commuting distance, preferably in La Línea de la Concepción or the surrounding area, due to the operational nature of the role and the tasks carried out outside normal working hours.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours as part of a duty rota.
- Valid driving licence.

Previous experience in shipping, port agency, logistics or maritime operations would be an advantage, but is not essential. We also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in the maritime industry. WHAT WE OFFER
