Global VAT/GST Compliance Analyst

Location: Barcelona, Spain Working Model: Remote / Flexible Working Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We have exclusively partnered with an established multinational organization in the consumer goods sector on their search for a Global VAT/GST Compliance Analyst.

Our client operates internationally, serving both consumer and professional markets through an extensive global distribution network. With a strong market presence and a focus on innovation, the business offers a collaborative, international working environment.

The successful candidate will join an established Integral Tax Compliance team, taking responsibility for VAT/GST compliance across multiple jurisdictions while supporting wider indirect tax initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and submit VAT/GST returns, Intrastat declarations and related indirect tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines, payment obligations and relevant reporting requirements.
- Perform VAT reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support their resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, international finance teams and external service providers on indirect tax matters.




- Support internal and external audits, respond to VAT/GST queries and monitor changes in indirect tax legislation.
- Contribute to projects involving supply chain changes, IT system improvements and evolving tax reporting requirements.

Key Requirements:

- 3 to 5 years of hands-on VAT/GST compliance experience, including preparing VAT calculations and returns.
- Experience working across multiple VAT jurisdictions is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the wider business impact of transactions.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Fluent English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international stakeholders.
- Previous experience within a multinational organization, Big Four firm or working with SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.
