The Role
Location: Albacete or Madrid, Spain, depending on the candidate’s preference.

RES is looking for an experienced Group Consolidation Accountant to run the Group consolidation process with a high degree of autonomy. The post holder prepares the consolidated accounts from start to finish and is the technical reference for consolidation within the finance team.

Accountabilities:
• Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual Group consolidation, from the collection of entity reporting packages to the final consolidated figures.
• Issue Group closing instructions and timetables, and review the quality and consistency of the reporting packages received.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and resolve differences directly with local finance teams.
• Record consolidation entries: elimination of investments and equity, non-controlling interests,



currency translation and changes in the scope of consolidation.
• Prepare the consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and the related notes under IFRS.
• Analyse consolidated results and variances, and prepare clear commentary for the Head of Accounting Southern Europe.
• Integrate newly acquired or newly created entities, including project companies, into the consolidation scope.
• Maintain the consolidation tool: entity master data, account mappings and the Group chart of accounts. Propose improvements to make the process faster and more reliable.
• Prepare consolidation audit files and answer external auditors’ questions.
• Follow changes in IFRS and assess their impact on the consolidated accounts.
