The Vall d’Hebron Research Institute’s (VHIR) Stroke and Interventional Neuroradiology Research Group is looking for a Research Technician to support and coordinate research projects focused on neurovascular diseases, embolization techniques and advanced neuroimaging. Main responsibilities and duties: Provide support to TRAMMAV-BCN project, aimed at developing and evaluating an in vivo model of molecular embolization for brain arteriovenous malformations. The role will include supporting experimental embolization procedures involving the rete mirabile and acquiring the technical skills required for their performance. Specific responsibilities will include: assisting during embolization procedures recording and organising procedural imaging data in DICOM format performing quantitative image-based analyses to assess the percentage of rete mirabile embolized, embolization speed, vascular penetration, reflux, radiopacity, and distribution of the embolic agent. Coordinate and manage the NAIF 2.0 – COGNIFY Project, focused on assessing glymphatic system function in patients with intracranial dural arteriovenous fistulas through diffusion MRI. Main responsibilities will include: processing and analysis of multimodal MRI data, with particular emphasis on diffusion MRI, using FSL, MRtrix and 3D Slicer software as well as the development and application of an image-processing pipeline for the registration of volumetric multiphase angiographic datasets to structural and diffusion MRI; identification and quantitative analysis of brain parenchyma corresponding to abnormal venous drainage territories. Analysis of pre
- and post-embolization imaging data, comparison of quantitative MRI biomarkers and the assessment of their association with clinical characteristics and patient-reported symptoms Education and
