Experteer Overview
In this role, you will lead and shape HP’s litigation and investigation strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from Barcelona. You will collaborate with regional and country counsel, business leaders, and outside counsel to coordinate cross-border disputes and regulatory matters. You’ll manage substantial risk, budgets, and complexity, driving outcomes aligned with HP’s objectives. The role offers autonomy in directing matters and contributing to the integral litigation function with a focus on practical, evidence-based decisions.

• Lead litigation and dispute strategy from cradle to resolution
• Manage a broad portfolio across commercial, IP, competition, privacy, employment, securities, and regulatory matters
• Lead investigations and responses to government inquiries and enforcement actions
• Provide substantive litigation counsel on claims, defenses, and risk assessment
• Coordinate cross-border matters with local counsel and regional teams
• Advise business and legal leaders with clear risk assessments and actionable options
• Direct outside counsel, including strategy, staffing, budgets, and performance expectations

• Lead factual and evidentiary development with internal teams and external counsel
• Identify recurring issues to reduce disputes and improve practices
• Strengthen the global litigation function through knowledge sharing and process improvements

Responsabilidades
• Law degree and professional qualification to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction
• At least five years of post-qualification experience in litigation and investigations
• Experience leading litigation strategy and multi-stage dispute handling
• Experience managing matters across EMEA jurisdictions and coordinating local counsel
• Ability to handle varied dockets and work with specialist lawyers
• Strong analytical, written advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to advise senior stakeholders and make practical recommendations under uncertainty
• Experience managing outside counsel, budgets, and forecasts
• Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to work in a multinational environment
