Barcelona preferred Compensation: €70,000-€80,000 gross annual fixed salary + meaningful phantom equity participation About Honext Honext is an industrial technology and sustainable materials company transforming paper industry waste into healthy, recyclable, high-value fibreboards. We are entering a key stage of international industrial scale-up, including the development of our 50/50 joint venture and first large-scale industrial plant in Germany, while evolving towards a technology platform model based on intellectual property, technology transfer and industrial partnerships. The role We are looking for a CFO who wants to play a central role in building the next stage of Honext. This is not primarily an accounting or controlling position . We are looking for a hands-on financial leader who can combine financial discipline with corporate finance, complex negotiations and strategic judgement. The CFO will work closely with the co-CEOs, Executive Chairman and Board.

Key responsibilities
Lead Honext's financial strategy, funding plan and capital structure. Manage cash, runway, forecasting and financial planning. Lead or actively participate in equity raises, debt financing, venture debt and institutional/public financing. Represent Honext's financial interests in its industrial joint venture. Assess and manage guarantees, capital commitments, cash calls and contractual financial risks. Play an active role in the negotiation of complex commercial and corporate agreements, including JV agreements, financing agreements, shareholder arrangements, guarantees and technology licensing agreements. Support the financial and tax structuring of Honext's international activities. Provide clear, decision-oriented reporting to management, shareholders and the Board. Build a lean, robust and scalable finance function.



What we are looking for We will particularly value candidates with demonstrated experience in: Corporate finance and fundraising. Industrial companies, technology scale-up or capital-intensive businesses. International joint ventures and complex transactions. Project finance and industrial investment. Complex commercial and corporate contract negotiations. Cash management in businesses with limited runway. Working directly with Boards, investors, banks and institutional stakeholders. The successful candidate must be highly hands-on, analytical, pragmatic and comfortable operating with limited resources and significant complexity . We are not looking for a traditional Finance Director focused mainly on accounting, reporting or control. Personal qualities Independent judgement and intellectual honesty. Compensation and long-term alignment The fixed salary range for the role is €70,000-€80,000 gross per year . In addition, the successful candidate will participate in a meaningful phantom equity programme , designed to create strong long-term alignment with Honext's shareholders and to reward value creation. We are particularly interested in candidates who are attracted not only by the role, but by the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the value they help create . Location Barcelona-based is preferred, with availability to travel internationally, particularly to Germany, when required. Hiring process Initial screening.
