Hybrid: 2 days in the office + 3 days remote

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (French-speaking) to join our Professional Services team in Barcelona and lead complex technology projects in highly regulated, international environments.

What will you do?

You will take ownership of complex customer projects end-to-end , from requirements analysis and initiation through implementation and successful handover.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing complex IT and technology implementation projects within our CBDC ecosystem , including backend applications, mobile apps, digital wallets, smart cards, and integration components. Our customers are typically Central Banks .
- Leading project teams throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring scope, timelines, quality, budget, and customer objectives are successfully managed.
- Establishing strong project governance , including status reporting, steering meetings, escalation management, decision tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Proactively managing risks, dependencies, and change requests , ensuring project continuity across both short-term initiatives and complex multi-year programmes.
- Working closely with internal teams, customers, partners, and subcontractors in a highly international and multicultural environment.
- Facilitating customer communication and follow-ups in French and English .
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring alignment on scope,



quality, dependencies, and timelines.
- Contributing to tenders and proposals together with our Business Development and Technical teams.

You will also be actively involved in pre-sales activities , helping customers understand our capabilities and demonstrating how Giesecke+Devrient can deliver the right solution and successfully execute their projects.

What are we looking for?

- 8+ years of experience managing complex IT projects for customers.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to remain resilient and decisive under pressure.
- Experience translating requirements into reliable effort estimates and realistic implementation plans .
- Excellent communication skills in French and English , with the confidence to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong multicultural awareness and experience working in international environments.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand complex topics.
- The ability to facilitate and steer business and technical discussions, even when you are not the subject‐matter expert.
- A strong sense of ownership and the ability to navigate challenging situations while keeping projects on track.
