In this role, you support ABB’s Hydro and Ring Motor Engineering team by performing mechanical calculations and leading FEM analyses to ensure designs meet ABB standards. You will work with cross-functional partners to resolve technical issues, document calculations, and help standardize mechanical solutions. The role offers hands-on engineering impact within a collaborative, learning-focused environment and aligns with ABB’s sustainable, world-running mission.

Responsabilidades
- Perform analytical mechanical calculations of components and structures under supervision
- Develop and execute finite element analysis (FEA) models and interpret results
- Collaborate to resolve technical queries from Projects, Service, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing
- Review and update technical documentation, calculation reports, specifications, and procedures
- Monitor equipment manufacturing and assembly; analyze deviations and propose solutions
- Prepare technical reports and present results of mechanical calculations
- Participate in technical coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to standardization of mechanical solutions and generate lessons learned
Requisitos principales
- Degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering
- Experience in mechanical calculation related to electrical rotating machines
- Experience in FEM analysis (Ansys or similar)
- Experience in 3D Design programs (Autodesk Inventor or similar) is a plus
