Overview

In this role, you will drive performance engineering and automated validation for Akamai’s Compute/Meerkat platforms. You’ll design scalable testing frameworks, lead an engineering team, and shape performance criteria across a general compute fleet. You will partner with developers, SREs, and datacenter operations to optimize reliability, benchmarking, and automation at scale. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on delivering high-impact, measurable improvements in cloud infrastructure performance.

Responsabilidades

- Design scalable, distributed testing frameworks and automated benchmarking tools for cloud platforms
- Mentor engineers, define technical vision, roadmaps, and best practices for performance engineering and automated validation
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks ensuring quality across platforms




- Define and enforce performance criteria, SLAs, and latency targets for global deployments
- Scale and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated regression and performance testing
- Collaborate with developers, SRE, datacenter operations, and the Meerkat team to improve performance and resolve bottlenecks

Requisitos principales

- Deep understanding of hardware and software performance objectives
- Experience analyzing performance telemetry and building predictive models
- Proficiency in Python; experience with Go, Linux/Bash scripting for automation
- CI/CD and Dev Ops integration experience, Jenkins, advanced Git workflows
- Strong Linux-based operating systems expertise
- Experience using AI to accelerate development tasks
