About the Role
Together with the Business Cloud Services (BCS) team, you will design, automate, and operate our enterprise-grade cloud platform on Microsoft Azure. As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with Cloud Architects and Engineering teams to build and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
You will play a key role in a major cloud transformation initiative, helping consolidate the company's cloud environments into a centralized platform and supporting the migration of existing applications. This is an opportunity to contribute to complex, business-critical projects in an international environment.
We are looking for a proactive, curious, and self-driven professional who takes ownership, works independently, and continuously looks for ways to improve our platform and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and maintain reusable, modular Terraform code to automate the lifecycle of Azure infrastructure, ensuring consistency, scalability, and adherence to architectural standards.
- CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Build and maintain scalable, multi-stage Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and application deployments, incorporating quality checks and automated security and compliance controls.
- Azure Platform & Networking: Deploy and manage Azure services, ensuring secure integration with enterprise network architectures, including Hub-and-Spoke topologies, Private Endpoints, User-Defined Routes (UDRs), and Azure Key Vault.
- Containerization & DevOps Practices: Work with Docker and containerized workloads, supporting image management, private registries, deployment automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of Kubernetes,
AKS, Helm, or GitOps is a plus.
- Code Quality & Security: Conduct peer reviews of Terraform modules and pipeline definitions, implement security guardrails, manage secrets securely, and follow enterprise compliance standards.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Developers, and Operations teams to resolve technical challenges, improve automation and operational processes, optimize cloud costs, and strengthen platform reliability.
- Ownership & Initiative: Take ownership of assigned tasks from design to implementation, proactively identify problems, propose solutions, and drive improvements with a high degree of autonomy.
Required Skills & Experience
- Professional Experience: 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Cloud DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar role, working with production environments in Microsoft Azure.
- Terraform: Strong experience developing, structuring, and maintaining reusable Terraform modules for enterprise infrastructure.
- Azure DevOps & CI/CD: Solid experience with YAML pipelines, reusable templates, automated deployments, pipeline quality gates, and CI/CD best practices.
- Azure Platform Knowledge: Good understanding of Azure services, identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID), RBAC, and enterprise networking concepts, including Hub-and-Spoke architectures, Private Endpoints, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- Technical Mindset: A strong automation-first approach,
with an interest in simplifying processes, improving infrastructure delivery, and continuously learning new technologies.
- Autonomy & Ownership: A self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, makes informed decisions, and follows tasks through to completion. You are curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking responsibility for your work.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, as you will collaborate with colleagues in an international, distributed team.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Helm, or GitOps methodologies.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Familiarity with security and compliance standards in financial services or regulated environments, such as PCI DSS or SOC 2.
- Spanish language skills.
What We Offer
- International Collaboration: Work with colleagues from different countries in a diverse, collaborative, and inclusive environment with flat hierarchies.
- Meaningful Projects: Contribute to a major cloud transformation initiative, supporting the consolidation of cloud environments and the migration of business-critical applications.
- Career Development: Access continuous training, coaching, and talent development opportunities.
- Flexible Working: Hybrid working model with 2 days per week on-site in El Prat de Llobregat and 3 days working remotely, flexible working hours, and a summer schedule from mid-June to mid-September.
