Role Description The Associate Producer is a remote role responsible for supporting the end-to-end production of film and media projects. On a day-to-day basis, this role coordinates schedules, manages communication among creative teams and partners, and assists with pre-production planning, including research, location coordination, and logistics. The Associate Producer helps track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, and supports script development, story outlining, and content review to ensure alignment with the company’s mission. This role may also contribute to outreach, talent coordination, and collaboration with artists and community organizations to maintain authentic and inclusive storytelling throughout production. Qualifications




• Production coordination skills, including experience organizing schedules, managing logistics, and supporting pre-production and post-production workflows.
• Project management abilities, such as tracking timelines, deliverables, and budgets, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional creative teams.
• Strong storytelling and editorial skills, with experience in script support, content review, and shaping narratives that reflect cultural and community perspectives.
• Relationship-building skills, including the ability to work with artists, organizations, and community stakeholders in a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in remote collaboration tools and documentation.
• Demonstrated commitment to authentic, culturally sensitive storytelling and an interest in film and media focused on heritage and community.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects at once, and adapt to evolving production needs in a remote environment.
• Relevant experience in film, media production, or a related field; a degree or training in film, media, communications, or cultural studies is beneficial but not required.
