At ASTEK Iberia, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer
- Node.js & Integrations to join an international client, contributing to innovative digital solutions within the pharmaceutical logistics and distribution industry ? Main responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build APIs and integrations with ERP, WMS and third-party platforms.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
• Deliver scalable solutions that improve traceability, automation and operational efficiency.
• Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with international teams, business stakeholders and technology partners.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning and delivery tracking using Jira ? Who are you?
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience designing REST APIs, integrations and web services.
• Hands-on experience with NestJS, Express or similar frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MySQL.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) using Jira.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• A proactive, collaborative engineer with strong ownership and autonomy Nice to have
• Experience in logistics, supply chain or the pharmaceutical sector.
• Knowledge of SAP integrations (SAP MM, OData, IDoc, BAPI/RFC).
• Experience with event-driven architectures, RabbitMQ or Kafka.




• Familiarity with Docker, AWS and observability tools.
