Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead the design and delivery of advanced fire safety solutions for buildings and industrial facilities, balancing code compliance with performance-based approaches. You will join AECOM Spain’s Building Services Engineering team, mentoring juniors and contributing to multi-disciplinary projects across sectors. The position focuses on optimizing passive fire protection, life safety, and engineering analyses to manage risk and ensure safe, buildable outcomes. This is an opportunity to apply rigorous methods at scale within a global infrastructure leader and influence project outcomes from design through delivery.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design passive fire protection measures (compartmentation, fire-resistance assemblies, firestopping, penetrations, joints, doors, dampers, façade fire safety) and coordinate with structural protection.
• Develop egress strategies and life safety plans, including occupant loads, travel distances, exit capacity,

and performance-based egress modelling when needed.
• Evaluate material reactions and fire performance (heat release, smoke, toxicity, charring, thermal degradation) and translate results into buildable specs.
• Lead performance-based designs using computational tools (CFD, structural fire analysis, egress simulation) where prescriptive approaches are insufficient.

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Fire Protection Engineering or closely related discipline
• Proficiency with international and local codes/standards (NFPA, IFC/IBC, EN/BS, FM Global Data Sheets) and performance-based design frameworks

Requisitos principales
• Medical, dental, vision, life, ADu0026D, disability benefits
• Flexible work options
