Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead EU privacy and data policy engagement to shape Meta's stance with regulators, policymakers, and civil society. You will translate complex EU rules (GDPR, AI Act, DSA/DMA, Data Act) into actionable internal guidance and drive external engagement strategy. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage policy programmes and deliver timely, impactful work. This is an opportunity to influence privacy and AI policy at scale within a fast-moving, general tech company.

• Provide policy leadership and oversee external engagement with regulators, policymakers, academia, civil society and industry bodies in the EU
• Monitor EU and national developments in privacy, data governance, and AI regulation and assess implications for Meta's products and positions
• Develop proactive strategies and initiatives to address policy challenges
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the EU and coordinate with cross-functional leads on policy issues
• Represent Meta at meetings and conferences
• Draft submissions and engagement plans for local policy audiences in collaboration with policy, legal, communications, product and engineering teams




• Own project plans and strategic frameworks for privacy and AI external engagement initiatives
• Provide a centralized view of global external engagement activity within the privacy team
• Drive escalation and resolution of priority initiatives related to policy goals, resourcing and delivery
• Partner with events and policy programmes teams to design and execute event strategies
• Shape internal communications and prepare briefing materials for senior leadership on engagement and sentiment
• Develop and maintain knowledge-sharing processes and act as a subject matter expert for content and knowledge management

Responsabilidades
• 6+ years of experience in privacy, data or technology policy, regulatory affairs, or related field
• Fluency in English and French
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
• Expertise in AI policy and EU privacy frameworks (GDPR, AI Act, DSA/DMA, Data Act)
• Established network in the EU data and privacy community in at least one potential base country (Spain, France, Italy)
• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional programmes including business process and lifecycle management
• Strong presentation, writing, and stakeholder-management skills for senior audiences
