Experteer Overview
In this role you help build Aeron Sequencer, a distributed, replicated-state-machine platform for capital markets. You will work with cross-functional teams to design and optimize systems that other engineers rely on for performance and reliability. You’ll influence product decisions, architecture, and engineering practices while delivering clean, maintainable Java code. This is a hands-on role focused on solving hard problems at scale and communicating technical choices clearly. You will operate at the intersection of technology, performance, and financial markets, making a meaningful impact on how we deliver value.

• Analyse, design and implement distributed systems based on replicated state machines
• Develop clean, efficient Java code with self-documenting characteristics
• Design and evolve messaging protocols and libraries
• Troubleshoot and debug Java applications and distributed systems

Responsabilidades
• Experience building, debugging, and operating distributed systems
• Strong experience developing server-side Java
• Experience designing/revising messaging protocols or libraries
• Experience using different forms of testing to support quality (correctness and performance)
• Experience measuring, benchmarking, and profiling components or systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
• Judgement to prioritise competing demands based on long-term value and explain priorities to stakeholders
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and propose improvements
