As Senior Technical Operations Engineer at Metricool, you own and optimize the Mautic infrastructure on AWS with SES, ensuring scalable delivery of millions of emails daily. You work closely with a technical lead and cross-functional teams to move from firefighting to a stable platform. You will improve Mautic processes, tune databases and queues, and participate in data platform efforts in the medium term. This role offers remote work, ownership, and a meaningful impact on email deliverability and system reliability.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• System optimisation of servers, MySQL databases under heavy load, and queues (RabbitMQ) for a large Mautic setup on AWS
• Improve Mautic processes (segments, campaigns, sending jobs) to ensure daily updates and fast sends
• Maintain system stability: monitor sends/queues/servers, detect and fix issues, scale to ~3M emails/day
• Triage and reproduce bug reports from Marketing/Product; provide fixes and explanations
• Respond to incidents during sends; provide availability when needed
• Maintain and evolve Mautic's PHP/Symfony plugins and modules; leverage AI tools as support
• Document architecture,



runbooks, and fixes
• Contribute to data platform and attribution initiatives (ClickHouse, Python export pipelines, Go services, Aerospike)

Responsabilidades
• Located in Spain
• Seniority: at least 5 years in systems, infrastructure or technical operations
• Experience as a senior technical support specialist at a hosting company (servers, Linux, DNS, infrastructure, networking, traffic, email sending, domain reputation, security)
• Proven experience administering and optimizing MySQL under heavy load
• English (minimum B2); Spanish highly preferred
• PHP, with Symfony as a strong plus
• AWS experience (EC2, SES) is highly valuable
• Experience managing email-sending infrastructure is highly valuable
• Bonus: Mautic, RabbitMQ, Aerospike, ClickHouse, data pipelines, Go, and AI-assisted coding
