Join Seqera's Unified Compute team as Staff Software Engineer to own low-level cloud workloads. You will work on Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched, shaping how scientific workloads run across multi-cloud environments. This hands-on role combines OS-level work, performance optimization, and architectural leadership, with mentoring responsibilities. You’ll drive reliability, testing, and observability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale data-driven science.

Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Design, build, and own low-level systems across Fusion, Fusion Snapshots, Ignite, and Sched
• Write reliable, well-tested code in Go and C (with Rust/JVM where needed)
• Work close to the OS: FUSE, Linux namespaces, CRIU, process supervision, signaling
• Handle multi-cloud orchestration: provider abstractions (AWS, Azure, GCP), autoscaling, spot-fault tolerance
• Drive performance engineering: chunked I/O, caching,



buffer pools, bandwidth management
• Set technical direction and raise standards for testing, observability, and operations
• Mentor teammates and help onboard new engineers

Responsabilidades
• Deep experience building production-grade systems software with technical ownership at Staff level
• Strong in Go and comfortable in C (or C++)
• Solid Linux internals and debugging at OS level
• Experience with distributed/cloud-native systems and cross-cloud failure modes
• Clear, well-structured, well-tested coding style; able to work independently
