Role Description

We are looking for a Renewable Energy Project Developer to join our team in Madrid. This is a full-time position, idóneo for professionals with solid experience in the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV, BESS and hybrid solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in originating, developing and advancing projects from early-stage development through permitting, land acquisition, grid connection, and readiness for construction within a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development of utility-scale Solar PV, BESS and hybrid renewable energy projects from greenfield stage to Ready-to-Build (RtB).
- Identify and assess new project opportunities in line with the company’s growth strategy.
- Manage land acquisition processes, including negotiations with landowners and coordination of land agreements.
- Coordinate grid connection applications and liaise with TSOs, DSOs, utilities and relevant authorities.
- Manage permitting activities, environmental assessments and all regulatory processes required for project development.
- Coordinate external consultants, environmental specialists, engineering firms and legal advisors.
- Engage with local authorities, municipalities, public administrations and key stakeholders throughout the development process.
- Support project feasibility assessments, including technical, environmental, commercial and financial evaluations.
- Monitor project schedules, development budgets, risks and key milestones.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, commercial,



legal and EPC teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Support project acquisitions, due diligence processes and development partnerships when required.

- Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Energy, Business Administration, Geography, Law or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in renewable energy project development, preferably involving Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
- Strong understanding of permitting procedures, environmental regulations and grid connection processes.
- Experience managing land negotiations and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Knowledge of the Spanish renewable energy market and regulatory framework.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (mandatory).
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
