Experteer Overview
In this Actuary role, you will help grow Arch’s European business by pricing across Property, Casualty, Marine, and Specialty lines. You’ll collaborate with underwriting teams in multiple European markets and leverage the London Pricing Centre of Excellence to localise pricing capabilities. Your work shapes pricing strategy, forecasts, and MI insights, enabling informed decisions and portfolio performance improvements. This is a dynamic, cross-border role that combines technical pricing with commercial judgement to support growth and profitability.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Develop and localise pricing models and tools for European lines with governance
• Provide actuarial support for individual account pricing, including complex risks
• Monitor prices for renewals and new business; drive improvements with underwriting
• Maintain market awareness of rate and loss cost trends
• Collaborate on planning with reserving and underwriting to project loss ratios and profitability
• Support analysis bridging pricing, planning, and reserving views
• Prepare and communicate MI on movements by line of business




• Provide portfolio insight and identify opportunities and areas for review
• Maintain effective communication with underwriting, management, and actuarial teams across Europe
• Support ongoing professional development and technical skills growth

Responsabilidades
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian desirable
• Strong technical actuarial capability with a commercial approach
• Excellent communication skills to explain actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently within a dispersed team
• Relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration
• Balance of technical rigour with commercial judgement
• Interest in European markets and local underwriting/pricing nuances
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple lines of business and stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
