For REWE digital Spain, a team of almost 70 colleagues, subsidiary of REWE Group, located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for an IT Business Engineer. She/He will join the Customer Relations & Sales (CRS).

As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems we plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 440,000 employees.

Your home of IT is a product team in our Customer Relations & Sales (CRS) department, responsible for a variety of centrally controlled sales processes relating to our customers, as well as marketing and customer loyalty. This includes focus areas such as multichannel marketing, campaign management, retail media, our customer service, versatile multi-brand loyalty management (including PAYBACK), and our sales and distribution processes. (Excluding processes in the markets and online and mobile.)

What you will do:

- You’ll oversee the entire software development process—from gathering requirements with your stakeholders to rolling out the software or new software features within your team.
- You’ll independently create user stories, use cases, and interface specifications, among other things, to serve as guidelines for the developers
- You’ll actively, quickly, and independently familiarize yourself with the specifics, processes, and requirements of our business units (including Retail Media Sales and Marketing) to ensure collaboration with stakeholders on an equal footing and to develop tailored solutions for day-to-day operations
- You’ll take responsibility for technical and organizational issues and drive them forward on your own initiative—from the initial idea through to successful implementation.
- You will coordinate and manage cross-application projects, identify dependencies early on,



and ensure targeted collaboration among all parties involved.
- You will keep track of both technical requirements and deadlines, risks, and open issues, and ensure a transparent flow of information.
- You’ll take on an active role—both in support and in (cross-application) projects—with flexibility, drive initiatives forward independently, and ensure structured and goal-oriented implementation.
- You’ll serve as the liaison between REWE’s functional departments and your internal and external product development teams, ensuring optimal transparency and communication among all stakeholders
- You organize and facilitate workshops to identify users’ actual needs and preferences
- You embody agile values, actively contribute to our feedback and error-handling culture, and promote an agile mindset within the organization
- You plan, create, and document test cases; conduct functional, integration, and regression tests; and ensure the high quality and stability of our applications.
- You support the Product Owner, for example, in shaping the product vision and roadmap, managing the product backlog, or overseeing budgets and tasks

What we are looking for

- First and foremost, your personality: You are a strong team player who quickly familiarizes yourself with new subject matter and technical topics, takes on responsibility, and drives projects and operational tasks independently, in a structured and goal-oriented manner, through to successful implementation.
- You think across processes, understand complex interrelationships, and recognize the impact on adjacent systems and departments.
- You quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new subject areas, technologies, and challenges.
- With your strong communication skills, facilitation abilities, and diplomacy,



you are able to convince even critics and non-IT professionals
- You have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Information Technology, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification. Requirements management according to IREB CPRE is an integral part of your daily work.
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Media Cloud, ADvendio, and Adverity is a plus
- Jira and Confluence are familiar tools to you
- You are passionate about the world of retail and, ideally, have knowledge of the relevant business processes in the retail environment
- You have experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and in software development projects.
- You feel comfortable being part of a team that operates according to agile principles and acts independently
- Very good German and good English skills are required
