RudraLeT-Nano is a cross-border project funded by the Interreg VI-A Spain–France–Andorra Programme (POCTEFA) that aims to develop new therapeutic candidates against leishmaniasis within a One Health framework, combining hybrid ruthenium–hydrazone complexes with nanotechnology-based delivery systems. Within this project, the early-stage researcher (holding a master’s degree) will be responsible for the encapsulation, into liposomes, of the anti-leishmaniasis compounds provided by the French partners, in order to improve their in vivo delivery. The preparation and evaluation of alternative nanodelivery systems (e.g., gold and magnetic nanoparticles) will also be part of the work. Full physicochemical characterisation of the resulting formulations will be required before the successfully encapsulated drugs are sent to the medical partner of the project (located in Navarra) for biological testing. The recruited chemist (through a contract of

will report the results obtained to the Principal Investigator on a two-week basis and to the network partners on a six-month basis, and will contribute to the scientific reports, publications and dissemination activities of the project. Finally, the candidate is expected to enrol in the PhD Programme in Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Barcelona (UB) and to develop this work as their doctoral thesis. Preferably a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry with strong synthetic skills. A Master’s degree in Nanoscience (with a background in chemistry, not in physics) can also be considered. Experience in the synthesis of liposomes will be an advantage. Knowledge of the preparation and characterisation of other types of nanoparticles (e.g. gold and/or magnetic nanoparticles) will also be an advantage. The selection is made through the evaluation of the curriculum , with an overall score of zero (0) to ten (10) points. The minimum score is five (5) points. A resolution of appointment is issued in favour of the applicant who, having passed the selection procedure, obtains the highest score.
