In this role, you will bridge Disease Biology, Clinical Development and Portfolio u0026amp; Disease Strategy to translate science into portfolio-relevant priorities. You will assess biological rationale and translational robustness for opportunities, integrating scientific and development inputs into portfolio decisions.

You’ll support external asset evaluation, governance discussions and risk visibility, ensuring alignment with disease strategy while guiding evidence requirements and biomarkers considerations. This position sits in the IMID Derma Area and partners with senior stakeholders to shape strategy and investment choices that impact patient outcomes.

- Translate disease biology into portfolio-aligned scientific priorities and pre-candidate directions
- Assess biological rationale, tractability, and translational robustness of opportunities
- Consolidate scientific and early development inputs for cross-functional opportunity assessments
- Contribute to scientific evaluation of external assets and partnerships
- Support comparative evaluation of opportunities using established scientific and strategic criteria
- Incorporate disease biology and clinical development perspectives into portfolio recommendations
- Clarify evidence needs, biomarkers, and translational strategies for POC success
- Highlight scientific risks associated with proposed opportunities
- Provide scientific input to portfolio prioritization and asset-level decisions
- Challenge mechanism validity, differentiation potential, and early development feasibility




- Integrate inputs from Disease Biology and Clinical Development into portfolio recommendations
- Define guardrails for external search and opportunity filtering
- Ensure governance discussions reflect scientific opportunities, risks and uncertainties
- Engage with cross-functional teams to align on scientific opportunities across governance forums

Responsabilidades

- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy or related discipline (PhD/MD/PharmD strongly preferred)
- 8-10+ years in biopharmaceuticals across Disease Biology, Translational Medicine, Clinical Development, Early Development and/or Portfolio Strategy
- Strong experience in drug discovery, translational science and early development with evidence-based decision-making
- Experience evaluating mechanisms of action, target biology, biomarkers and development feasibility across multiple assets
- Proven track record in asset strategy, portfolio reviews, governance discussions or investment decisions
- Ability to integrate scientific, clinical and portfolio perspectives into strategic recommendations
- Experience in matrixed cross-functional environments (Research, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Portfolio)
- Understanding of external innovation assessment, due diligence inputs and opportunity screening
- Experience presenting complex scientific concepts to senior stakeholders and governance committees
- Prior experience in IMID Derma Area space
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with ability to align diverse functions
- Proficient English; other languages appreciated
