Space Institute of Technology is excited to offer a Work & Study Scholarship in partnership with Toloka AI, for students pursuing a Master's degree in Computer or Data Science.
Through this program, selected students will join Toloka AI as Forward Deployed AI Engineer Apprentices, working on real client projects while earning their degree at Harbour.
Space's Barcelona campus.

Space and Toloka are seeking experienced candidates who want to do apprenticeship at the intersection of consulting, engineering and AI, while advancing their academic careers.
Core Qualifications3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ML or data projectsSolid Python skills (NumPy, Pandas), API integration, and software engineering foundations (version control, testing, iterative development)Understanding of how modern LLMs are trained, fine-tuned and evaluated (SFT, RLHF, DPO, LoRA)Experience with, or strong interest in, AI-driven systems such as agentic workflows,



RAG or synthetic data generationCuriosity and structure when working through ambiguous problems and client needsProfessional English (C1+) and clear written and verbal communicationNice to HaveHands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs or building agentic systemsBackground in crowdsourcing or data-centric AIExperience in a client-facing, consulting or solutions roleBachelor's degree in AI, CS or a related fieldWhat You'll Be Working OnSupporting senior engineers in designing and building data-generation, labeling and evaluation pipelines for AI modelsConfiguring data-labeling components, quality controls and user interfacesPrototyping AI-driven solutions (agentic systems, RAG, synthetic data workflows) and running experiments on data quality and speedTaking part in client conversations and technical discovery alongside the teamHelping take solutions from MVP toward productionTuition fee scholarship to study a full degree in Computer or Data Science at Harbour.
Space4-6 hours/day of apprenticeship at TolokaMonthly student allowanceCandidate's Commitment:Study Commitment: 3 hours/day.
You will complete 14 modules (each three weeks long) in one year.
Daily class workload is 3 hours, plus homework to complete in your own time.
